SafeZone [UoN]
The University of Nottingham has partnered with the SafeZone app to work across all of the UK-based campuses, including several features which can help keep you safe and get a quick response to incidents on campus:
- Non-emergency security hotline: This will place a call through to the non-emergency security number to report non-urgent concerns, such as suspicious behaviour.
- First Aid Alerts: This will send an alert to the nearest building first-aider (or security out of hours) to respond, assess the situation and treat or escalate as necessary.
- Emergency response: This sends your location and an immediate alert to the campus security team for a response to serious injury, threats to safety or incidents in progress.
- Check in: For lone workers who are alone in university buildings or in areas of campus where a first aid response may be difficult out of hours, this allows you to share your location with security and your expected time leaving so they can check up on you in case of an incident.
- The app also contains non-urgent information on the available Wellbeing services or resources for non-urgent assistance.
